My counselling experience
In addition to my private counselling work I have volunteered at two community counselling charities and an NHS counselling service. I am a member of the Brighton & Hove Therapy Hub Directory.
Qualifications
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from the University of Brighton and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
More about me
I combine counselling with other work in the education sector. Before becoming a counsellor I worked for many years for the charity sector and taught English as a Second Language, as well as setting up and running a social group for people wanting to get to know others in their local community.
My areas of interest
I work with clients on a range of different issues and have a particular interest in the feelings of loneliness many of us can experience at different stages in our lives. Also, although I am not a music or art therapist, as someone who gets a lot from drawing and playing music myself I am interested in how these activities can support people's wellbeing.
